Good News Hosting
Hosting for small ministries
We are a growing, caring Christian web hosting company that strives to serve the internet community to the best of our ability by providing Christian quality service for each of our web hosting and domain registration customers.
The owner, Pierre Coovert, of Good News Hosting, has been a missionary, an itinerate preacher, and a pastor and understands the unique problems of small ministries. Our services are geared to meet those unique problems.
Our sitebuilding software is designed for those who do not have the knowledge to the programing laguages needed to build a website and who don't have the time or desire to learn it. Once the site is set up (we do this for you) it is as easy as using your word processor.
Our hosting plans start as low as $7.95 per month or $79.50per year. Initial design and setup of web site (standard site) - $35.00.
While some companies don't charge a setup fee, we do because we set up the site completely for your ministry or business. This includes setting up the site banners and initial layout. This can take several hours and the Bible teaches that the laborer is worthy of his hire.
If you have items you sell, such as sermon tapes, books, etc., we can set you up with a shopping cart that allows you to take orders on the internet. We can even set you up to take credit cards without the expense of a merchant's account.
To have a web site you need a domain name so people can find your site. Domain names are the address that people type to go to your site. Not that long ago they cost $35.00 per year but now they can be had for less than half that price. We offer them from $9.99 per year. Each domain name must be unique. You can check what names are available and order yours by using the form below.
You will be taken to our other service where you want to open the Domains Names menu and and select Register Domains. From here you can purchase your domain name.
If you have the ability to build your website yourself we recommend our other service Power Web Systems .

Should your church have a website? Posted at 12/07/09 - 11:20 PM
The Internet is a powerful tool that churches use to expand their ministry, proclaim the gospel, advertise their church, and touch people. A PUBLICITY TOOL A web site is a publicity tool much like a yellow page or newspaper ad. More than 80% of the new people in your area will search the Internet to find a church. Although a web site will not suddenly make your church double in size it will bring new people into your church. A web site has many advantages over a yellow page ad (although you should have this too). You can put so much more information on a web site and you can communicate the personality of your church. A COMMUNICATIONS TOOL A web site is a great tool for communicating with your church members. You can keep a calendar of upcoming events and activities on your site. You can keep sermon outlines there for your members to review. You can post prayer requests (be careful with this one some may not want too much information available to the public). AN EXTENDED MINISTRY TOOL A web site reaches the entire world, not just your local community. Offering surfers a place to ask questions can be rewarding. Posting articles on various spiritual subjects can be a big help to others. Online Bible studies can help people grow in their faith. CONCLUSION The things that can be done with a church web site are limited only by your imagination. Don't expect a web site to work miracles in your church but do use it as a tool to supplement other tools and ministries.
